Open Sew-in 10Aish to 4P: Bring your own projects, sew to your heart’s content! PLEASE bring a pad to put under your sewing machine when sewing at the Legion. It will prevent damage to the tables.
Project time!
We will also have a project for daytime sew-in this month. We’ve been asked to make items for a cancer support organization, Desert SW Cancer Support Group. We’ll be making the pillows like the ones we did a few years back and also little tissue sleeves. The group serves both men and women. If anyone has fiberfill they’d like to contribute or trimmings from soft quilt batting, we could use that to fill the pillows.
Board Meeting cancelled!
Meet and Greet 4:30P
Evening Meeting 5:00P
Program “Back to the Beginning”
Bring the oldest quilt YOU made that still lives with you—and tell us its story!
Start digging through your in-house quilt archive. Open closets, check guest rooms, look under beds… 😄 Find the earliest quilt you made that you still own and bring it to the October meeting! We can’t wait to see where your quilting journey began.

Program: Electric Quilt 8
Are you tired of trying to figure out block sizes and how much fabric you need for a project? How about trying out different colorways on your quilt blocks? Are you intrigued? If you answered “Yes,” this program is for you! We are going to hear all about Electric Quilt 8, affectionately called EQ8.
Corinne Goeke will present a video that will introduce you to the Electric Quilt 8, THE flagship quilt-design software. She will also have the software loaded on her ever-present laptop if you want to see the software in action. Don’t miss this opportunity and find out what you might be missing out on!
