Open Sew-in 10Aish to 4P
President’s Block Workshop
At 10:30, Guild President Donna Phillips will hold an informal workshop to teach you how to make her chosen President’s Block. She will provide the sashing pieces. You provide a 10-inch square of an allover fabric in your favorite color(s). Because part of the block is flipped, your 10-inch square CANNOT be directional. Donna is also asking that it not be representational (no flowers, animals, or gadgets). Go for the abstract or geometric in colors you love. Show Donna your appreciation for her hard work as President and make her a block.
Soup & Conversation
At 12:30, join us for the 3rd Annual Soup and Conversation to be held during the daytime Sew-In. Attendees are asked to bring a soup or stew (in a crock pot or other appropriate ‘keep warm’ vessel) or a side dish. Bring a cupcake baking pan. Small cups will be provided for you to sample any/all of the soups and stews. The yummy lunch will be accompanied by an activity to help you get to know your fellow guild members better. Bring a fat quarter of the UGLIEST fabric you can find. Questions? Ask Benee or Corinne G.
