Sew
In 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. November 15, 2021
American
Legion Hall, 1185 E. Madrid

This month Stephanie Allison will be teaching us a fabric
painting technique.  If you can trace and then color in the lines you can master this technique.  It’s great for quilts, home decor, and many other projects.   Remember, this is a FREE class and it starts at 9:30 a.m. Stephanie is donating her time and her original pattern, so let’s have a great turnout.  You will need supplies for the class:

Lumiere Paint – The Jacquard Lumiere Exciter Pack is
recommended.  You can find it on
Amazon.com or dickblick.com.  Just type
Lumiere Exciter Pack in the search box.

Black fabric– You will need a square of at least 16 inches
of a black material such as Kona Cotton or equivalent.   DO NOT PREWASH.

Marking pencils – Suitable for marking and staying on black
fabric such as Panda Pencils or Handi Iron Off Pencils.  I purchased mine from
fatquartershop.com.  Be Sew Creative has
said they will have some of the Handi Pencils in stock soon.

Paint brushes – Inexpensive brushes that have both flat and
fine tips suitable for painting large areas or fine details.  I found an inexpensive set at Sams Club, you
should also be able to find them at local hobby stores Amazon or dickblick.com.  Also bring a small jar to rinse your brushes
in.

Optional:  Light table if you have one to use or share. You are also welcome to bring your own sewing related projects to work on.
