Meetings
Board Meetings are held on the Tuesday preceding the general meeting at 7:00 P.M. at the home of the Guild President. These meetings are required for Officers and Standing Guild Chairs, and open to all Guild members.
Las Colcheras Quilt Guild General Meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at 7 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2900 Elks Drive, off of Main Street. Doors open at 6:30 PM and guests are welcome. Occasionally a change is required to accommodate a national speaker's schedule. Please check the Events Calendar for current information.
General Meetings include:
- A short business meeting;
- A program of hands-on instruction, a lecture, or presentation;
- Show and Tell time to share and display finished quilt projects. There is a sign-up list at the registration desk, please add your name to it if you bring something to share.
- An unstructured social time with refreshments;
- Lotto Blocks are quilt blocks made from a pattern chosen by the Lotto Block Committee and published in the guild newsletter each month. Lotto Blocks are one way to develop your piecing and appliqué skills. Each Lotto Block you turn in entitles you to a chance to win all of the other blocks made during the month. You may make as many blocks as you want and enter your name each time for the number of blocks you made; i.e., 10 blocks = 10 chances to win. You do not have to be present at the drawing to win.
- Door Prize - fill out a ticket at the registration desk as you come in. When a ticket is drawn at the end of the meeting, the ticket holder receives a door prize that is donated by a guild member. You must be present to win.
